Niektorí tolkienisti si možno povedia, aká je škoda, že málokto venuje pozornosť Východňanom (v angl. orig. Easterlings), častým nájazdníkom z východných krajín Stredozeme do jej západných končín. Predstavme si teda, že niekto z Východňanov sa naučil západčinu a rozhodol sa varovne i spokojne vyrozprávať ľuďom zo západnej Stredozeme, čo sú tí Východňania vlastne zač.
