A hypothetical translation of Tolkien's poem and song A Walking Song, which appears in The Lord of the Rings, into P-AdW Westron.

A hypothetical translation of the real world song "This Is Mongol", by the Mongol metal band The HU, into P-AdW Westron.

Some Tolkien fans might feel that it's a pity how few pay any attention to the Easterlings, the frequent raiders from the eastern lands of Middle-earth, raiding its Westlands. So let's imagine that someone from the ranks of the Easterlings learnt Westron and decided to tell a cautionary and satisfied warning to the peoples of western Middle-earth, about who the Easterlings really are.

Translations - "Anduin Flow" (Orinoco Flow in P-AdW Adunaic and P-AdW Westron)

A hypothetical translation of the real world song Orinoco Flow by singer Enya into P-AdW Adunaic and P-AdW Westron.

Of course, the geographic names are translated in such a manner, as to better fit into Tolkien's Legendarium. This also extends to the title of the song: Our translations into P-AdW Adunaic and P-AdW Westron are titled Anduin Flow, not Orinoco Flow.

A hypothetical translation of Tolkien's poem and song The King Beneath the Mountains, which appears in The Hobbit and represents a certain prophecy about the return of the dwarven king to the Lonely Mountain (Erebor), into the Kingdom Under the Mountain. This song is sung by the people of Lake-town and its surrounding area, but for them, it no longer represents anything other than a certain folktale. Let's look at what it could, theoretically, sound like in reconstructed, P-AdW Westron.

Translations - "The Road Goes Ever On and On" in P-AdW Westron

A hypothetical translation of Tolkien's poem and song The Road Goes Ever On and On, which appears in The Hobbit and represents a crecounting of Bilbo's travels to the Lonely Mountain (Erebor) "and back again", his adventures both west and east of the Misty Mountains, in Eriador and Rhovanion. Let's look at what it could, theoretically, sound like in reconstructed, P-AdW Westron.

A hypothetical translation of The Song of Durin from the English language into P-AdW Westron.

 

Translations - "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold" (et al) in P-AdW Westron

Hypothetical translation of Tolkien's song Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, and its two follow-up songs The Wind Was on the Withered Heath and Under the Mountain Dark and Tall, all in P-AdW Westron. These three songs, all sung by the dwarves of Thorin's company, appear in The Hobbit as something of a recurring  musical narrative.

The first song is heard at Bilbo's home, where it awakens his curiosity to such a degree, that he decides to change his opinion and join the expedition of the dwarves and Gandalf to the Lonely Mountain. The second song is heard when the company of travellers are staying for the night at Beorn's house, half-way through their quest. And the third song is sung by the dwarves after the Men of Lake-town manage to slay Smaug, with his return into the inside of the Mountain no longer a threat. Though the last song doesn't represent the ending of the story in The Hobbit, it forms a conclusion to the expedition to the Mountain. A musical beginning, middle and end.

Let's now have a look at how these songs could sound in reconstructed, P-AdW Westron.

New additions - Grammar - Noun declension

Declension of nouns in P-AdW is largelly identical with the declension in canon Adunaic, as captured in Tolkien's notes. Given the lack of enough canon grammar for Westron, we will apply these rules not only to P-AdW Adunaic, but also to P-AdW Westron.

New additions - Grammar - Definite and indefinite articles

Given the nature of Adunaic and Westron, the definite or indefinite articles in these two constructed languages are not present in the same sense as in, e.g. real world English, real world German, world Hungarian. Instead of separate words, separate definite and indefinite articles, suffixes are used, serving as the endings of nouns in their definite form. This is also respected by the P-AdW version of Adunaic and Westron.
